New Music: Frank Ocean feat. Travis Scott - 'Lens V2'

  /  04.23.2017

After dropping “Chanel” and “Biking,” Frank Ocean unleashes two version of “Lens,” a new song premiered through blonded Radio. The first is a solo edition, while the second is a Travis Scott-assisted remix.

Over a soothing beat, an Auto-Tuned Frank harmonizes about Mariah Carey, Rally’s, and freeways, before touching on his partner’s timeless qualities.

“Fake flowers, no water needed,” sings Ocean. “Real life drowned by the weekend / No wins, call it timeless / No ends ’cause you’re timeless.”

“Lens V2” follows with a twist from Travis Scott. Over an extended version of the original, La Flame comes through with vocal effects too. “Cameras on me, I need tints,” he sings. “Smiling but inside, I’m feeling bent / Come direct please, I can’t take no hints.”

Prior to dropping “Lens” and “Lens V2,” Frank unleashed “Chanel” and its A$AP Rocky-assisted remix via blonded Radio. He also teamed up with Jay Z and Tyler, the Creator on “Biking.”

It’s unclear whether these tracks are meant to make up a new project or whether they are unreleased cuts from last year’s Endless or blonde.

In any case, Frank is staying active. He also appears on Calvin Harris’ “Slide,” which features Migos, and is set to headline this year’s FYF Fest in Los Angeles.
