A day before The Fate of the Furious races into theaters, Migos unleashes the soundtrack’s latest single, “Seize the Block.”
The “Bad and Boujee” trio’s new banger finds Takeoff rapping about his own Fast and Furious ways. “I copped the drop,” he raps. “Just left the lot / I grabbed my Glock, let off a shot / Codeine on rocks, I need to stop / I seize the block, I need the block.”
“Seize the Block” is the latest release from the film’s star-studded soundtrack. Migos’ Quavo also appears on the project’s lead single, “Go Off,” which featured Lil Uzi Vert and Travis Scott.
Featuring G-Eazy, Kehlani, Kodak Black, Post Malone, Kevin Gates, Lil Yachty, and Wiz Khalifa, among others, the soundtrack is set to drop Friday (April 14), along with the film, which stars Vin Diesel, Dwayne Johnson, Tyrese Gibson, and Ludacris.
In the meantime, Migos is burning up the Hot 100 with three different placements. “Bad and Boujee” is cooking at No. 12, “T-Shirt” is hanging at No. 26, and they “Slide” into No. 40 with their Calvin Harris and Frank Ocean collaboration.
As if that wasn’t enough, Quavo has three more placements on the chart. This includes Post Malone’s “Congratulations” (No. 25), Drake’s Travis Scott-assisted “Portland” at No. 36, and 2 Chainz’ Gucci Mane-featured “Good Drank” at No. 95.
