More than two decades after its final season, the cast of “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” reunited on Monday (March 27).

Will Smith and his co-stars Alfonso Ribeiro, Tatyana Ali, Karyn Parsons, Daphne Reid, and Joseph Marcell were all smiles as they posed for a group photo at Nobu Malibu.

“Always amazing to spend an afternoon with my Fresh Prince family,” wrote Alfonso, who famously played Carlton Banks on the show.

The “Dancing with the Stars” champion also lamented the death of James Avery, who played the beloved Phillip Banks aka Uncle Phil. Avery died in 2013 following open heart surgery complications. “Wishing that James Avery was still with us to make this complete,” added Ribeiro.

Ali posted a similar note: “A wonderful afternoon today with family. We miss you James.”

Actress Janet Hubert, who played the original Aunt Viv, was not in attendance. The actress has had a long-standing feud with Smith over contract negotiations. Other stars, including DJ Jazzy Jeff, who played Jazz, and Ross Bagley, who starred as Nicholas Banks, were not in the photo either.

It’s unclear what brought the cast back together, but it’s unlikely a reboot. Last year, Smith told E! News that a revival would come “pretty close to when hell freezes over.”

In December, Smith reiterated this with a twist. “I’ve been hearing stuff about it,” he told Entertainment Tonight. “I’m not doing it. If somebody wanted to, I would probably let them, but I have no intention.”

A reboot starring Jaden Smith has also been rumored, but Will has denied that, as well. “No,” he told Extra (via Uproxx). “Just leave that alone.”
