Trey Songz introduces fans to Tremaine with the release of his seventh studio album.
The 15-track project follows Trigga’s faux reality dating show, “Tremaine The Playboy,” a “Bachelor”-like web series that acted as a platform for his music videos, including “Nobody Else But You” and “Song Goes Off.”
Whether he’s singing about turning the bedroom into a jungle on the raunchy banger “Animal” or about settling down on the Rico Love-produced “Playboy,” Trey never loses his swagger.
Speaking of the concept last month, Trigga told “The Breakfast Club” that it was a way to connect with fans in a different way. “The way people consume music, the way people love reality TV, the way people love drama, just the illusion that it could be something I was doing was a great way for me introduce music,” he said.
Tremaine marks Trey’s first album since 2014’s Trigga and 2015’s Trigga Reloaded. According to Trey, the hiatus was due to some somber moments. “You get in a dark place and places where you don’t know what’s going on,” he said. “That’s why I haven’t been doing music the last two years. That’s why I haven’t put an album out.”
