Two years after his massively popular Charlie Puth collaboration “See You Again,” Wiz Khalifa teams up with the Fast and Furious once more. This time, the Taylor Gang boss joins forces with Young Thug, 2 Chainz, and PnB Rock for “Gang Up” off The Fate of the Furious soundtrack.
Tity Boi rolls in with the first verse, pulling inspiration from the film franchise. “I ain’t talking seat belts when I say that I’m strapped,” he raps. “I’m in love with my side hoe / I sneak her through the side door / I’ma show you what we ride for / I’ma show you what we die for.”
After a melodic hook from PnB Rock, Young Thug offers a “Rest in Peace” to Paul Walker, who “See You Again” was inspired by. “I’m in my same lane, lane,” he raps. “That ain’t gon’ ever change up / I blow the brain out the Range like a Taz Angel / R.I.P. to Paul Walker homie, gotta stand up.”
Mister Cap caps things off with a final verse inspired by the film franchise’s camaraderie and by his own Taylor Gang. “I’m always with my gang,” he raps. “We always ready to ride for the squad, we’ll do anything / Stay down, we’ll never change / We always gon’ stay the same.”
“Gang Up” follows Fate of the Furious singles like “Good Life” featuring G-Eazy and Kehlani and “Go Off” with Travis Scott, Lil Uzi Vert, and Quavo.
Fate of the Furious and its soundtrack arrive April 14. Listen to “Gang Up” below.
