T-Pain is looking for a little bit of gratitude with the release of the trap-infused “Thanx.” The hard-hitting slapper finds an Auto-Tuned Teddy P singing about his influence and his finances.

“The takeover’s real as fuck,” he raps. “I started this shit…This the thanks I get? / This the part where the broke ni**as put they heads down / Shawty in my section ’cause there’s money on the ground.”

It’s unclear whether “Thanx” is a single off his highly-anticipated album Stoicville, but it appears to simply be a loose release. “Thought I’d hit ya’ll with new music,” he wrote on Instagram.

This weekend, T-Pain is reportedly teaming up with Young M.A. for a music video in Miami. The duo hit the studio earlier this year for a yet-to-be-released collaboration.

In November, Teddy made headlines when he turned into Stevie Wonder for an “Epic Rap Battle” against “Wonder Woman.” Prior to that, he released the Lil Yachty-assisted “Dan Bilzerian.” Plus, he’s apparently been working on new music with Chris Brown.

For now, give “Thanx” below.
