It’s lit! After several teasers, David Guetta’s Nicki Minaj and Lil Wayne-assisted single “Light My Body Up” has finally arrived.
The uptempo, club-ready smash finds Nicki singing throughout the chorus, but it also features a few bars that will no doubt be seen as Remy Ma disses.
“I just started my sentence, like the capital letter,” she raps. “Got bars for years, I hope you send me a letter / No, she’ll never be queen, so now she got a vendetta / I ain’t talkin’ ’bout David, when I say I’ma Guetta.”
Weezy joins Nicki on this collaboration, with some explicit rhymes. “Made that thing a starfish right up on my swordfish.” Later, he adds: “Keep it tight-tight / Take this D, go night-night / Go so far downtown on you, I lose Wi-Fi.”
“Light My Body Up” is a single off Guetta’s forthcoming project. It follows past David-Nicki collaborations like “Turn Me On,” “Where Them Girls At,” and “Hey Mama.”
