H-O-V is headlining the V Festival.
Along with Pink, Jay Z has top billing at this year’s Virgin-organized event, which is set to take place Saturday (Aug. 19) at Hylands Parks and Sunday (Aug. 20) at Weston Park.
The festival will also feature performances by Craig David, Ellie Goulding, Jason Derulo, Sean Paul, Dizzee Rascal, and Krept & Konan, among others.
This is major news for Jay Z fans, who believe this could be an indicator that a new album is looming. Soon to be inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame, Hov hasn’t released a new album since 2013’s Magna Carta Holy Grail.
Over the weekend, fans heard some new Jay Z material during a beat battle between Swizz Beatz and Just Blaze. At one point, Swizz dropped a previously-unreleased Jigga, Nas, Jadakiss, and DMX collaboration though it’s unclear if or when it will be released officially.
News of Jay headlining V comes shortly after Beyoncé, who is expecting twins, canceled her 2017 Coachella gig based on doctor’s orders.
Tickets for V Festival go on sale Friday, March 3, at 9 a.m.
