Video: MadeinTYO feat. Big Sean - 'Skateboard P (Remix)'
Bling-blaow! MadeinTYO and Big Sean go ape like Nigo in the video for the remix to “Skateboard P” off Thank You, Mr. Tokyo.
The Daniel Yaro-directed visual features skateboarders in a Malibu mansion, where models are dancing and tequila is flowing. With a mixture of VHS effects and grainy still photography, the vid also takes on a throwback vibe.
Speaking of flashbacks, Sean and TYO even rhyme on top of a DeLorean like a couple of Marty McFlys in classic BBC gear, another homage to Pharrell Williams.
“Skateboard P” follows TYO’s success with “Uber Everywhere,” a single that’s been certified platinum by the RIAA.
It also comes on the heels of a new adidas commercial that features TYO and Desiigner. “Ain’t nothing sweet,” Mr. Tokyo raps in the ad, which remixes Frank Sinatra’s “My Way.” “With adidas on your feet, you can do it like me.”
Big Sean’s appearance on “Skateboard P (Remix)” is also a sign of things to come. MadeinTYO is part of Sean Don’s “I Decided. Tour,” which is set to run from March 17 in Houston through April 20 in Miami.
