Snacking has a new anthem, thanks to Migos.
Last year, Quavo, Offset, and Takeoff previewed a “Dab of Ranch” jingle for Rap Snacks that instantly went viral. Now, they’ve released the official song, recorded at Spotify Studios NYC.
“Number one record,” raps Takeoff. “The chips breaking records so add it up.” Offset adds: “Get your Rap Snacks with a dab of ranch / It ain’t no more, call the ambulance / All of this flavor gon’ make you dance.”
The new track is an ad for Rap Snacks, which currently has three flavors: Fetty Wap’s Honey Jalapeño, Migos’ Sour Cream with a Dab of Ranch, and Romeo Miller’s Bar-B-Quin with My Honey.
Migos’ Spotify connection doesn’t end there. The group also recorded an alternate version of “T-Shirt” at the company’s studios. The remix features “Spotify” harmonies and lyrical changes throughout.
“When you pull out that Draco, make sure ain’t nobody watching,” raps Quavo, likely referencing Soulja Boy’s Draco-laden diss towards the Migos, which landed him in trouble with the law due to parole issues.
Migos is riding high this week. Their sophomore album Culture has given them their first No. 1 on the Billboard 200, selling 131,000 equivalent album units in its first week of availability.
Celebrating the No. 1 placement, Quavo said that the group is doing it for the youth. “We speaking for the young generation,” he said. “We speaking for the young generation of music.”
