Lupe Fiasco finds serenity with Rick Ross and Big K.R.I.T. on his new DROGAS Light single “Tranquillo.”
Pulling from the song title, which means calm in Spanish, Fiasco rhymes about altruism, empathy, and clarity throughout his verse. “I will respect myself and wear serenity as my necklace,” he raps. “I will replace what I take and have tranquility as my breakfast.”
Rozay reveals how he chills on his verse, as well. “I like to smoke to myself,” he adds. “I just try to improve / Let my son hold my strap while I swim laps in the pool.”
Meanwhile, Krizzle shares his advice for finding tranquility. “Young ni**a, go be reborn,” he raps. “Peace and understanding is what you should be on.”
“Tranquillo” follows the Gizzle-assisted “Jump” and the Jake Torrey-featured “Wild Child” off Lupe’s forthcoming album, DROGAS Light, which is set for release Feb. 10.
