Tyler, the Creator is gearing up to unveil his Cherry Bomb documentary, an inside look at the making of his 2015 album, later this month. But before the film’s release, the Odd Future MC revealed a portion of the doc as a teaser.
In the preview, Tyler takes fans through the creation of the LP’s “2 Seater” standout, which features live instrumentation. A portion of it was recorded at Hans Zimmer’s studio, where the acclaimed composer was also working.
“He’s really talented,” Tyler says of Zimmer in the clip. “I got to see his secret little stuff in his secret little room. Only me…But more important, I got [his] nod of approval. So sick!”
The forthcoming Cherry Bomb documentary is slated to premiere in Los Angeles on Jan. 29. A separate teaser for the film was released in November and a portion of it was debuted at the Camp Flog Gnaw Carnival last year. Watch Zimmer’s nod and peep Tyler’s shenanigans (like jumping over cars) in the preview below.
