2016 was the year of Queen Bey.

Changing the game with another new drop, Beyoncé stopped the world yet again. From “Formation” to LEMONADE to the “Formation World Tour,” it was ‘Yoncé’s year. To close out 2016, we’re sharing the queen’s biggest, most-read stories of the year, according to Rap-Up readers.

Like the release of her self-titled 2013 LP, LEMONADE was a game changer and the recap of her visual album, which aired on HBO, was this year’s most-read Bey story. Summarizing the complicated and multi-layered project, the one-hour special focused on the way Beyoncé addressed Jay Z’s alleged infidelity through poetry, stunning visuals, and anthemic bangers.

During a memorable Super Bowl where Bey mesmerized audiences yet again, she also shocked fans with the dates for her “Formation World Tour.” The announcement became her second most-read piece of the year. It’s fitting since the run would go on to become one of the year’s most celebrated jaunts, topping Rap-Up’s Editors’ and Readers’ Choice lists of Best Tours.

Bey’s personal life also piqued readers’ interest. The Carters’ vacation to Europe was the third most-read story of the year, featuring photos of Bey and Hov in Paris, basking under the lights of the Eiffel Tower, clearly no longer troubled by rumors of infidelity. Blue also showed her youthful love of travel, posing and dancing alongside her mama.

Two performances notched the fourth and fifth biggest Bey-related stories of the year. Her surprise performance at the BET Awards, where she opened with “Freedom” with Kendrick Lamar, made its mark at No. 4. It was a meaningful showing filled with courageous power, pride, and spectacular water works as two of the culture’s biggest stars shared one of the year’s most thunderous moments on stage.

At No. 5 was a more lighthearted showing with Channing Tatum’s appearance on “Lip Sync Battle.” After the actor performed “Run the World (Girls),” donning makeup and a Bey-esque outfit, the real queen made a surprise appearance next to the Magic Mike star. Channing ended the performance by bowing to Bey, something fans did all year long.
