Who Is Remy Ma Taking Shots at on 'Wait a Minute (Remix)'?

Wait a minute. Could a beef be brewing between Remy Ma and Nicki Minaj? That’s what some fans are thinking after watching the video for PHresher’s “Wait a Minute (Remix)” featuring the Terror Squad MC.

With Young M.A. beside her, Remy delivers a fierce verse filled with what many are calling thinly-veiled jabs at Minaj. “Will I smoke this bitch? Yes,” she raps. “Probably fail my piss test / Get rid of those fake breasts / And put a vest on this bitch chest.”

Later, she adds: “That ghostwriter ’bout to call her / That lifeline getting shorter / R.I.P. Biggie Smalls, why the f*ck they ain’t want her?”

Fans quickly took to social media to debate these lines, noting Nicki’s voluptuous physique and her ex Safaree’s claim that he used to be her ghostwriter. Adding to this, SB once rapped about Nicki and Meek Mill on a track titled “Lifeline.”

Remy recently spoke with Rap-Up about how these speculations are bound to pop up given each MC’s status as two of the most prominent women in rap.

“When I first came home and she called me, we were talking about working together and things like that,” explained Remy. “I told her people are gonna try to pit us against each other any time I say I’m the best or that ain’t none of these bitches fuckin’ with me, they’re gonna think I’m throwing shots at her and vice versa. I told her ‘Don’t let the people get between us being the artists that we are.'”
