Gang, Gang. Lil Uzi Vert is the newest member of Taylor Gang. TGOD boss Wiz Khalifa announced the news during a hometown concert for the Philly MC on Thursday (Dec. 22).
“Taylor Gang, we’ve got Lil Uzi Vert now,” said Khalifa, with his new signee beside him. “Welcome to the motherfu*kin’ Gang, ni**a.”

From there, Wiz showed pride for the young star, celebrating his ability to impact others.
“Thank you for being the most influential young ni**a,” he added. “I don’t give a fuck who’s on the list. He’s No. 1. He’s the hottest in the game right now.”

Of course, that could be seen as another knock in what’s been a contentious year for Wiz and Kanye West, who was recently named No. 1 on MTV2’s “Hottest MCs in the Game” list.
After the show, a fan asked Mister Cap for confirmation of the signing. “Definitely is gangster,” tweeted Wiz.
The Taylor Gang roster currently includes Wiz, Ty Dolla $ign, Juicy J, Chevy Woods, Berner, Raven Felix, Tuki Carter, Sosamann, and J.R. Donato. The group recently released their compilation mixtape, TGOD Mafia Volume 1, following a deal with Atlantic, which has been home to both Khalifa and Lil Uzi thus far.
This year, Uzi and Wiz have also teamed up on “Pull Up” and the 2 Chainz-assisted “Countin.”
Vert’s Taylor Gang affiliation arrives just in time for his Luv Is Rage 2 project, which is slated to arrive in 2017. Recently, Uzi teased songs from the project.
