J. Cole recently made waves when he appeared to diss Kanye West, Wale, Lil Yachty, and Lil Uzi Vert on a pair of new songs off his upcoming album 4 Your Eyez Only. Now, Lil Boat is responding.

Speaking with L.A. radio station Power 106 at Cali Christmas on Friday (Dec. 2), the “Minnesota” rapper addressed “Everybody Dies,” the track which appears to send a shot at him.

“It was cool,” he said. “I don’t listen to J. Cole. I definitely listened to it. It flooded my shit. It was everywhere. People said he was talking about me. I listened to it. He said Lil. I’m not little. My name has Lil in it but there’s a lot of Lil rappers. [It’s] either me or Uzi. Honestly, I don’t give a fuck.”

The line in question premiered during Cole’s Eyez doc, which dropped in anticipation of 4 Your Eyez Only.

“I hate these rappers,” rhymes Jermaine. “Especially the amateur-eight-week rappers / Lil Whatever, just another short-bus rapper,” he raps. “Fake drug dealers turned tour-bus trappers / Napoleon complex, you this-tall rappers / Get exposed standing next to 6’4″ rappers.”

While J. Cole’s diss might’ve been thinly veiled, Shia LaBeouf’s lines weren’t disguised at all. First dissing him on “Sway in the Morning,” the Emmy-winning actor fired more shots on “The Breakfast Club.”

“This a murder, this is tragedy, man,” he rapped. “He’s like Lil Romeo meets Raggedy Anne / Sorry kids, I got hard with this … Yachty don’t know Notorious / Story is, he’s sort of shit.”

For his part, Yachty seems to be in a “Judgement Free” zone. That’s the title of the young spitter’s latest single, which premiered last week via Beats 1.
