Childish Gambino awakens once more with “Redbone,” the latest track from his forthcoming album Awaken, My Love!

“Redbone” finds Donald Glover in a throwback mood, delivering melodic harmonies over a soothing, old school beat.

“Daylight,” he sings with distorted vocals. “I wake up feeling like you won’t play right / I usually know but now that shit don’t feel right / It made me put away my pride.”

The song, which follows “Me and Your Mama,” is one of 11 tracks off Awaken, which also includes “Have Some Love,” “Boogieman,” “Zombies,” and “The Night Me and Your Mama Met.”

Awaken, My Love! will be Gambino’s first release since 2014’s STN MTN/Kauai and is scheduled to arrive Dec. 2.
