New Music: Omarion - 'It's Whatever'

  /  11.12.2016

Omarion celebrates his birthday with a special gift for fans. No, it’s not a new Care Package, but the 32-year-old R&B crooner delivers his confessional banger, “It’s Whatever,” produced by G. Ry.

“I’ve been only single for months,” he sings. “I’m just trying to get my swag back.”

Things get even more personal — with nods to his high-profile breakup from Apryl Jones — as he adds: “Torn apart, catch me I’m on the run / Told my BM she can have that / Put that on my daughter and my son / Every night I’m having flashbacks.”

Along with the song, he revealed that his long-awaited album Reasons is coming in early 2017.

“I’m excited to announce that I’ll be dropping a new project early next year titled ‘Reasons’ & I am confident that it will be well received like all my previous work,” wrote O. “I’ve grown in so many ways & this is reflected in my music. I can’t wait to share it with you all.”

This will be Omarion’s first album since 2014’s Sex Playlist and his first release since Care Package 3, which dropped exactly one year ago.

Happy birthday, O!
