Top 5, top 5, top 5!
Drake’s Views continues to make chart waves. The album, which debuted at No. 1 in May, has spent half of 2016 (26 straight weeks) in the top 5 on the Billboard 200.
Only six other albums have been able to do that, dating back to 1963. The album with the longest run of this nature is Adele’s 21 at 39 weeks.
Michael Jackson’s Bad follows with 38, Stevie Wonder’s Songs in the Key of Life comes after that with 32, and Whitney Houston’s The Bodyguard soundtrack notches 30.
Since its release, Views has reached No. 1 on the chart 13 times. It has also been streamed more than one billion times. Its 26 weeks in the top 5 matches the Eagles’ Hotel California, which dropped in 1977.
Drizzy is not done with 2016. He is also planning to release his More Life project in December.
