Kodak Black has the “Jailhouse Blues” on his latest freestyle from behind bars.
Starting with a pre-paid call operator, the freestyle features melodies and rhymes from the incarcerated rapper.
“Why I got blood in my eye?” he asks. “They see this light, and forgot that he’s traumatized / When I was just trying be there for my child.”
While that portion of the rap focuses on his child, another portion of the rhyme is about his own childhood.
“I ain’t had no guidance so I was committing crimes,” he raps. “Ain’t had no daddy and that’s my reason why.”
Earlier this month, Kodak released his first jailhouse freestyle from St. Lucie County Jail, where he’s being held on drug charges. The rapper has another case pending in which he may face up to 30 years in prison on a sexual battery case in South Carolina.
For now, listen to his “Jailhouse Blues” below.
