Ciara Named Revlon Global Brand Ambassador

  /  10.18.2016

Ciara makes another one of her dreams come true as the new face of Revlon.

This marks a culmination of a wish that the new Global Brand Ambassador has had since her childhood days.

“My name actually came from the fragrance Ciara by Revlon,” the 30-year-old singer told PEOPLE. “My mom got it from the actual fragrance. It was a gift given to her by my father. She not only loved the smell, but she also fell in love with the name. I remember seeing it back then, thinking, ‘One day, I can be the face of Revlon.’ It’s pretty amazing because the dream came true.”

The IMG model, who considers Revlon’s brow pencils and Crème Eye Shadow among her favorites, will also be part of Revlon’s “Choose Love” campaign, which celebrates “love and all of its positive aspects and possibilities.”

“It’s so exciting to be a part of the ‘Choose Love’ campaign because the messaging is parallel with what was and is happening in my life,” said the newly-married Mrs. Russell Wilson.

For Ciara, this is about much more than makeup. “Having my own personal journey that I’ve had through my life, I’ve just really been about female empowerment and that’s really, that’s really important to Revlon, too,” she explained. “It’s an exciting thing because, you know, it’s bigger than the makeup. They take it a step further by using the platform to help make a difference.”
