Lil Wayne and Birdman aren’t Like Father, Like Son anymore.

Despite Baby’s insistence on a familial bond with Weezy, Tunechi was recently asked about rekindling the friendship with his longtime label head and mentor.

“I’m 34,” he told HipHollywood. “I’m too old for friends.”

When asked about their “fam” status, Wayne replied: “His name isn’t Carter, baby. He’s not family.”

Birdman has had a different perspective on their relationship all along. Just last month, the mogul wished Wayne well for his 34th birthday. “HBD MY SON,” he wrote on Instagram. “[Lil Wayne] #BEFORE ANYTHANG.”

However, the two parties are battling it out in court and Weezy is still suing Cash Money for $51 million.

Wayne is currently promoting his new book, Gone ‘Til November: A Journal of Rikers Island.
