Guwop is coming to town. Just days after the release of Woptober, Gucci Mane is back with another album announcement.
That’s right, the Georgia rapper, who also dropped Everybody Looking earlier this year, has just announced a December release date for his next project, The Return of East Atlanta Santa, which arrives just in time for Christmas.
The Return of East Atlanta Santa is actually the third installment in a series. The original East Atlanta Santa dropped in 2014 and its sequel followed last year.
Although Gucci hasn’t confirmed any collaborations, there are a few artists on Santa’s wish list. “I like the young people,” Guwop told Hot 97 last month. “Maybe like 21 Savage, Young M.A. … Anything that’s hot. Lil Uzi Vert, Lil Yachty. Anybody who’s hot and the kids say he’s hot, I think is hot. That’s how I do it. I embrace anything that’s new.”
As if a new project wasn’t enough, Guwop is also gearing up for “Woptober Fest,” set to go down Oct. 19 in the ATL. After that, he’ll start making a list and checking it twice, prepping The Return of East Atlanta Santa, which is due Dec. 16.
