Allow Young Thug to reintroduce himself with Jeffery, the prolific rapper’s highly-anticipated mixtape.
After planning to drop his latest project on his birthday (Aug. 16), the eccentric ATLien pushed it back and finally released it today. And the cover art, which features Thugger in a ruffled dress and umbrella bonnet, has already become a trending topic and spawned a series of memes.
The 10-track effort allows Thugger to celebrate icons he idolizes, including Kanye West, Rihanna, Floyd Mayweather, Gucci Mane, Future, Swizz Beatz, and even Harambe the gorilla, who inspired the titles, while the guest list includes Wyclef Jean, Travis Scott, Gucci Mane, Quavo, and Offset.

During an interview with Travis on .wav radio, Thugger explained how Jeffery will change the way he’s viewed.
“I just want to get off of the Slime Season shit because I never had a street mentality,” he said. “I always had a Michael Jackson mentality…The message is to go back to who I really am. I really am Jeffery. That’s really my swag.”
In fact, he’s so proud of the new material that he may even change his stage name to No, My Name Is Jeffery or just Jeffery moving forward.
Meet Jeffery below.
