Snoop Dogg and Wiz Khalifa are facing a lawsuit from 17 people, who sustained injuries during their “High Road Summer Tour” in New Jersey earlier this month.
Over 40 concertgoers and venue employees were injured and many were hospitalized after a railing gave out at the New Jersey venue, BB&T Pavilion. Upon the collapse, fans fell from an elevated area about 10 feet high, many piling on one another as they fell to the concrete.
The injuries varied. One person claims they suffered a fractured spine, according to TMZ.
The lawsuit, which names Live Nation as a defendant, claims Snoop and Wiz influenced fans to stampede, causing a collapse. The rappers are quoted as saying: “Everybody in the motherfucking grass bring your ass down here,” prior to the incident. The lawsuit also claims “shoddy repairs” were made on the barrier in the last year.
Meanwhile, the “High Road” continues. Tonight, the run, which also features guests Jhené Aiko, Kevin Gates, Casey Veggies, and DJ Drama, is set to stop in Phoenix before hitting several cities and coming to a close on Sept. 2 in Auburn.
