YG and DJ Mustard are keeping it 400. The on-again, off-again collaborators have put the past behind them and reunited for a new mixtape called 400 Summers.
Mustard took to Twitter to make the big announcement. “400 SUMMERS MIXTAPE COMING,” he tweeted, along with a photo of them posing in front of a Mercedes. “Wasn’t pose to give it away but fuck it 😊 @YG.”
400 Summers, which borrows its name from YG’s 4Hunnid label and Mustard’s 10 Summers imprint, marks a reunion for the dynamic duo, who have had their share of ups and downs.
After collaborating on YG’s debut My Krazy Life, the two had a fall out, which played out on social media. In December 2014, Mustard accused YG of not paying for his contributions to the album. Days later they met up and squashed the beef.
However, Mustard was noticeably absent from YG’s latest album Still Brazy.
In April, they reunited at Coachella and alluded to their troubled past. “For a whole year me and this ni**a @djmustard ain’t been BOOL ‘at all,'” said YG. “But ni**az FINALLY sat it down and holla’D like some successful azz day 1’s pose 2 ✊🏾 & uhhhhhhh now…. WE BACK BITCHES!!!!”
