Joe Budden continues his Drake onslaught. Why? Apparently, “Just Because.”
After Drizzy mocked him onstage during a “Summer Sixteen Tour” stop in Dallas this week, Joe Beezy returns with his fourth Drizzy diss track.
Following “Making a Murderer Pt. 1,” “Wake,” and “Afraid,” “Just Because” starts with a revelation. “I have a confession to make,” Joe says to Drake. “I love you, man. Sometimes love hurts. It’s gonna hurt me more than it’s gonna hurt you though.”
The love/hate continues in the bars as he compares the feud to a father/son talk. “We not enemies,” he raps. “He just gotta bar up now / I’m still on ‘Energy,’ let’s see if he ‘Charged Up’ now.”
“Just Because” follows Drake openly mocking Joe’s “Pump It Up” onstage during the “Summer Sixteen Tour.” It also follows Drizzy’s barbs on “No Shopping” that referenced a “one-hit wonder” and lines on “4PM in Calabasas” that Jumpoff felt dissed by.
The beef began when Budden criticized Champagne Papi for sounding “uninspired” on the chart-topping Views.
