Watch ScHoolboy Q's Short Film 'Black THougHts (Pt. 3)'

  /  07.11.2016

The saga is now complete.

After unveiling the first two installments of his Blank Face LP short film, ScHoolboy Q reveals the third and final chapter with “Black THougHts (Pt. 3).”

Following their pawn shop robbery and subsequent arrest, “Black THougHts (Pt. 3)” features Q in a lavish pad-turned-prison. Backed by his “Tookie Knows II” collaborators Traffic and TF, Quincy is also in this prison with his seven-year-old daughter Joy.

Groovy Tony uses “Black THougHts”—which contains additional vocals by Kendrick Lamar—as a commentary on prisons, but also as a call for gangs to stop the violence. “Let’s put the rags down and raise our kids,” he raps. “Let’s put the guns down and blaze a spliff / Let’s do it now, man, no buts or ifs.”

The first two installments of the film, “By Any Means” and “Tookie Knows II: Part (2),” dropped last month.

Before unleashing the third part online, Q premiered the entire short film at the Independent Theater in Downtown Los Angeles for 24 hours last week, between 6 a.m. on Friday and 6 a.m. on Saturday. Now it’s all available on the web.
