Beyoncé and Jay Z Are the World's Highest-Paid Celebrity Couple
The King and Queen take the crown.
Forbes has announced that Jay Z and Beyoncé are the world’s highest-paid celebrity couple for the past year, bringing in a whopping $107.5 million.
Queen Bey alone raked in $54 mill, placing her at No. 34 on the Celebrity 100 list. Meanwhile, Hov landed at No. 36 with $53.5 million.
The couple, of course, benefitted greatly from LEMONADE, the album that was reportedly written about Jigga’s alleged infidelity. Their TIDAL exclusivity earned them a ton of money and ‘Yoncé’s subsequent “Formation World Tour” only helped matters. Next year, they could continue this trend with rumors of a joint project.
Music isn’t the only money-maker for the Carters. Jay has his Armand de Brignac champagne, D’USSÉ cognac, and Roc Nation, which also includes Roc Nation Sports and more. This year, Bey also launched her Ivy Park clothing line.
The Forbes list measures pre-tax earnings for celebrities around the world and no fees are deducted for agents, managers, lawyers, and the like.
Last year’s highest-paid celebrity couple is no longer a couple. That honor went to Taylor Swift and Calvin Harris, who recently broke up.
