Blank Face trolls the web.
After revealing a crying Jordan meme-inspired cover for his new album Blank Face LP, ScHoolboy Q says he was only trolling. The actual album cover is totally different.
Q was on “TMZ Live” today (Jun. 16), where he explained the cover misunderstanding. “The fact that people think I would actually use that as my album cover is funny so I just actually trolled the people,” he said. “People are so quick to jump on things.”
After the meme got out, Q says he tried to make it his album cover, but it was too late. Still, the camp released a “deluxe” edition of the LP’s cover, featuring Donald Trump as a continuation of the gag.
But, the actual album cover isn’t black-and-white at all. Instead, it’s a vibrant cover featuring tree branches and Q on the bottom right hand corner in full Blank Face attire. It’s the same character that Q plays in his “Groovy Tony” music video.
“It has a meaning to it,” the TDE spitter said. “I don’t want to spoil it for people, but once the album’s out, I’ll pretty much go deeper into what my album is.”
Blank Face LP, the follow-up to 2014’s Oxymoron drops July 8. For now, watch Q explain the cover situation below.
