Wale is spending his Summer on Sunset.

With little warning, just two days before its release, the D.C. rapper has announced plans to drop a new mixtape on Friday, June 17.

The trailer for Summer on Sunset features comedian Jerry Seinfeld, who famously collaborated with the MMG spitter on his most recent release, The Album About Nothing.

“Loved working with you,” Seinfeld says in the trailer, referring to himself as Lil Clean. “I heard you’re moving out to L.A. to clear your head. Oh, my God. There’s very little clear head out there. L.A.’s fun. A lot of people out there work hard, but the people that aren’t working are partying even harder so stay cool and be yourself. Don’t ever change.”

According to Wale, this project is based on last summer and it works as a warm-up to his fifth album SHINE (Still Here Ignoring Negative Energy).

The announcement follows a slew of songs released by Wale, including “Reminisce,” the Miguel-sampled “Her Wave,” and the Self Made 4 single, “Make It Work.”

That’s not all. Folarin is also scheduled to perform his Michael Jackson-inspired single “My P.Y.T” on “The Tonight Show” this evening, accompanied by The Roots.
