The 6 God hits 5 weeks at No. 1.
Drake’s latest album Views has now reached its fifth week in the top slot on the Billboard 200, giving it even more milestones to celebrate.
After selling another 152,000 equivalent album units (37,000 in traditional album sales), the project now has the five largest streaming weeks for an album.
But that’s not all for Drizzy. The Toronto MC also manages to have the No. 1 single on the Billboard Hot 100 with “One Dance” featuring Wizkid and Kyla. The song earns its fourth non-consecutive and third straight week atop the chart, giving Drake another major distinction.
Drake has led the Hot 100 and Billboard 200 charts for three consecutive weeks, making him the first act to do so since Adele did the same with “Hello” and 25. The British songstress did that for six consecutive weeks. The last male artist to do that was 50 Cent with “Candy Shop” and The Massacre back in 2005.
But Drake isn’t resting on his laurels. Over the weekend, the 6 God unleashed a series of new tracks, including “4PM in Calabasas,” the Gucci Mane-assisted “Back on Road,” and his DJ Khaled collaboration “For Free.”
