There’s a Lot Going On with Vic Mensa.
In fact, that’s exactly what he’s decided to call his upcoming mixtape. On Tuesday (May 31), the Chicago rapper unveiled the project’s powerful cover art, which features Mensa photographed with a bullseye on his chest and bullet holes all around him. His stomach tattoo, which reads “Still Alive,” only adds to the imagery.
His caption simply reiterates the project’s title: “THERE’S A LOT GOING ON.”

Several outlets have reported that There’s a Lot Going On will drop Friday (June 3). That’s because the PlayStation Blog confirmed the news, though the site has since removed any mention of it in the post.
Last week, Vic shared an image of himself on Instagram, teasing two new releases. In it, he seemed to be deciding between songs for his upcoming LP and tape. “mark your calendar,” he captioned the pic. “#savemoneysummer.”

If it does drop on Friday, There’s a Lot Going On will be Mensa’s first effort since 2013’s INNANETAPE and also his first since signing with Roc Nation.
Last year, he released his Kanye West-assisted single, “U Mad,” and this year, he’s been busy with several tracks, including “Danger,” his Skrillex collaboration “No Chill,” and Townie’s “G W M.”
