Lil Wayne and Birdman Call Off Settlement Talks

  /  05.24.2016

The saga continues. Yesterday, a video of Lil Wayne dissing Cash Money emerged, and today, more news about the internal conflict has surfaced.

Peace talks between Weezy and Birdman have ended, according to TMZ. Apparently, any discussions of a settlement in Wayne’s $51 million lawsuit against the label “broke off within the last month.”

Just after these talks ended, Weezy took a photo with Rick Ross and Trick Daddy, who have been critical of Baby in the past. They posed together while attending Beyoncé’s “Formation World Tour” opener in Miami.

Wayne and Birdman were believed to be reuniting in January. Birdman had even promised that their bond would be renewed. “Wayne’s my son,” he recently told Hot 97. “That shit gonna work itself out.”

It seems things haven’t worked themselves out just yet. Over the weekend, Lil Wayne was seen leading a crowd at Denver’s 420 Rally in a “Fuck Cash Money” chant.

Wayne is hoping to get out of his Cash Money deal and is suing for money owed.
