Kanye West is riding a great wave. Fresh off his performance in the Philippines, the rap god traveled to Scotland to shoot a music video for “Waves.”
According to Scottish newspaper Daily Record, Yeezy filmed the visual for his Life of Pablo single on the Isle of Skye on Monday (Apr. 11). While overseas, Mr. West and his film crew stayed at Skeabost Hotel.
“Kanye was the perfect guest—charming, courteous and polite,” Anne Gracie, one of the hotel’s owners, told Daily Record. A spokesperson for the hotel added that photos were banned during Yeezy’s stay and that Kim Kardashian was not with him.
“He was very busy and didn’t have a lot of time,” the spokesperson said. “He was definitely here to work.”
Just last month, Kanye joined French Montana and Nas on set while filming a video for “Figure It Out,” a single off French’s mixtape Wave Gods.
The Chris Brown-assisted “Waves” appears on West’s album The Life of Pablo, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 this week.
