Ariana Grande Performs 'Dangerous Woman' at MTV Movie Awards
Ariana Grande brought glamour to the 2016 MTV Movie Awards. In addition to Hollywood A-listers like Will Smith and Halle Berry, the pop diva was on hand as one of two musical guests for the show, which aired Sunday (Apr. 10).
Following an introduction from Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid, Grande channeled Marilyn Monroe—decked out in a pink gown, diamond necklace, and white fur shawl—while performing her new single “Dangerous Woman” for the second time on television. Backed by Broadway composer Jason Robert Brown on piano, she showed off her powerful pipes with a jazzy rendition of the title track from her upcoming album.
After debuting the first visual last month, she plans to premiere a second clip for the song. “This one’s more cinematic and weird and tells a story,” Grande told MTV News. “It’s very different from the first one. I wanted to do a sexy, simple, more glamorous video, which was visual one. And then the second one is very different…it’s very weird.”
Her third album Dangerous Woman is due May 20 featuring collaborations with Nicki Minaj, Lil Wayne, Future, and Macy Gray.
