Taylor Swift Sings Drake & Future's 'Jumpman' in Apple Music Ad

  /  04.01.2016

Jumpman! Jumpman! This girl’s up to somethin’. Taylor Swift may have once been anti-Apple, but now she stars in an Apple Music commercial, showing the world that she knows the lyrics to Drake and Future’s What a Time to Be Alive hit.

The 60-second spot, entitled “Taylor vs. Treadmill,” features T. Swizzle decked out in activewear, running on a treadmill while rapping along to Drizzy’s first verse. Then, after hitting the Ginobili with the left hand up, the pop princess falls flat, face-down on her treadmill. Don’t worry, she shows she’s OK by getting up and continuing Drake’s line about those that wanna diss.

Of course, this follows an interesting relationship between Swift and Apple. When the company first launched Apple Music in June, Taylor wrote them a letter explaining why her latest album 1989 wouldn’t appear on the platform. She was unhappy about the company’s payment of artists.

Less than 24 hours later, Apple announced that it would change its policies to pay artists even during its free-trial period. Swift responded by adding her music to the service, “and happily so,” while keeping it off other platforms, including Spotify.
