Ariana Grande’s Dangerous Woman just got more deadly. The pop superstar has enlisted some major star power for her upcoming third album.
During an interview with 102.7 KIIS FM, Grande revealed the four guests on the 15-track project—Nicki Minaj, Future, Macy Gray, and Lil Wayne.
Ariana says the Weezy-assisted “Let Me Love You,” which she teased during a Livestream session, features “one of my favorite verses of his ever.” “It feels like old school Lil Wayne,” she said.
She was a huge fan of Future and wanted him on the album. “I knew I wanted to work with Future, but I didn’t know if we would find the right song to do together because we’re so different,” she said. “But we really found a dope vibe and it’s very unique and exciting.”
It marks her third collaboration with Minaj, whom she previously collaborated with on “Bang Bang” and “Get On Your Knees.” “I love Nicki so much. She kills it every single time. I just love working with her. She’s such a strong female and I think her punchlines are so great,” she said.
According to Ariana, Macy Gray sounds “so soulful and ridiculous” on their collaboration, which was penned by Victoria Monet.
She has already dropped two songs, “Be Alright” and the title track “Dangerous Woman,” prior to the album’s May 20 release.
“I really feel like a huge step forward and I’m really proud of it. My heart is bursting,” she said, while telling BBC Radio 1Xtra, “It’s definitely pop still, but I’m happy that it’s definitely showing more of a soulful side than the previous album [2014’s My Everything].”
