It may be Easter Sunday, but it’s also Sept. 5th. That’s because OVO’s newest signee dvsn has released its debut album five days ahead of schedule.
The mysterious act previewed the 10-track set on OVO Sound Radio on Beats 1 on Saturday (Mar. 26). They played a mix featuring Rihanna, Miguel, and Usher, before premiering “In + Out” and “Do It Well” off Sept. 5th, as well as their remix of Aaliyah’s “One in a Million.”
When Drake announced dvsn’s signing, little was known about the rising R&B act. Fans now know that dvsn features a male vocalist, who made his live debut at SXSW, but it’s still unclear whether this is a solo act or if it’s actually a group. Rumors have suggested that Drizzy collaborator Nineteen85 might be involved.
The Toronto producer actually first played “The Line” on OVO Radio back in October. Since then, dvsn has gone on to thrive on mystique and consistency, releasing tracks like “With Me,” “Hallucinations,” “Too Deep,” and the aforementioned singles.
