A$AP Rocky, A$AP Ferg, & Kehlani Invade SXSW for MTV Woodies
It’s a wrap for the MTV Woodies. This year, the reimagined “10 for 16” showcase of rising acts at SXSW, featured a star-studded lineup led by host A$AP Rocky.
“Tonight is all about the music,” said Flacko in his opening monologue. “From all the artists around the world releasing tracks that you hear on mixtapes, or SoundClouds, fans finding new artists on playlists, and most importantly, artists shouting out other artists. So this Woodies 10 for 16, we’re celebrating artists that you discovered from all across the world, pushing boundaries and redefining the music you love.”
The music took center stage as CHVRCHES, Jack Garratt, and The Chainsmokers performed during the one-hour live show from Lady Bird Lake in Austin, Texas. The event also featured Anderson .Paak’s rendition of “Am I Wrong,” and Kehlani, who performed songs including “You Should Be Here,” “Did I,” and “Alive.”

Rocky’s A$AP brother Ferg was also on hand, along with Lukas Graham, Jidenna, and BØRNS. They also performed during an earlier broadcast of “10 for 16 Festival,” which aired on MTV Live. Ferg’s “New Level” performance can be seen below, along with a clip featuring the entire A$AP Mob.

Not every star managed to make it to the Woodies stage, however. One of the night’s scheduled performers, Travis Scott, was a no show. Just hours earlier, the “Antidote” rapper canceled his appearance, citing sickness.
