Kanye West is in a giving mood. The hip-hop mogul, who didn’t release an album in 2014 or 2015, is promising three albums a year from now on.
The potential IKEA collaborator made the big announcement on Twitter, while also claiming he will create six Yeezy collections per year.
“No more fashion calendar,” he tweeted. “I’m going Mad Max… 6 collections a year…3 albums a year.”

He’s well on his way. ‘Ye released The Life of Pablo last month and has promised to drop the follow-up, Turbo Grafx 16, in the summer. At this rate, a third album could land near the end of 2016. Just don’t expect any of them to come out in CD format.
This is a major shift from the G.O.O.D. Music boss’ previous solo releases. Three years before Pablo, Mr. West released Yeezus. This came three years after 2010’s My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy. Since 2004, when his debut album The College Dropout arrived, he has never released more than one solo album in a year.
