Bankroll Fresh Shot and Killed in Atlanta
Rapper Bankroll Fresh was shot and killed outside of an Atlanta studio on Friday (March 4). He was 28.
Police are investigating the apparent homicide, which took place outside of Street Execs Studio in northeast Atlanta. Officials say at least 50 shell casings were discovered on the scene of the crime, according to the Atlanta Journal Constitution. The motive behind the shooting is currently unknown and no arrests have been made.
Donald Hannah, a spokesperson for the Atlanta police, said officers found “a large crowd of people fleeing the location” and that Fresh, real name Trentavious White, was taken to Hughes Spalding Children’s Hospital in “an unknown vehicle.” The MC died before midnight.
2 Chainz, who opened the studio last year in association with Street Execs Management, has collaborated with Fresh in the past. He was one of many artists in the rap world who responded to the news.
“Man I’m a fan of Bru and always will be,” tweeted 2 Chainz. “I’m in shock at the moment !! Senseless deaths we just got to stop it, I’m speaking up now.”
