Rick Ross Indicted for Pistol-Whipping Groundskeeper

  /  03.01.2016

Rick Ross’ legal woes continue. The MMG boss has been indicted for allegedly pistol-whipping his former groundskeeper Jonathan Zamudio, but Rozay’s lawyers believe that the rapper will be cleared of any wrongdoings.

Renzel’s attorney, Steve Sadow, says that his client was acting in self-defense and that he shouldn’t be prosecuted because Zamudio was allegedly committing felonies on Rozay’s Georgia property, according to TMZ. They claim that the groundskeeper was found “partying with cocaine and drug paraphernalia” in Ross’ guest house.

Sadow plans on saying that Rozay was “acting in self-defense and in defense of his property when he encountered trespassers.”

The issue dates back to June when Renzel was arrested. Zamudio has said that he was pistol-whipped and beaten badly for throwing a party in the Maybach leader’s mansion. He also claimed he wasn’t allowed to leave the house. In July, Rozay was released on $2 million bond.

Ross is now facing several charges including aggravated assault, kidnapping, and aggravated battery.
