Chris Brown is crafting the “ultimate R&B song.” Breezy has enlisted the genre’s biggest artists for a round of remixes to “Back to Sleep,” the hit single off his chart-topping album Royalty.
He took to Instagram on Friday (Feb. 19) to reveal the big news. There will be several versions to the remix starting with Usher and Zayn Malik. Miguel, August Alsina, and Bryson Tiller are featured on a second remix, leaving Tyrese and Tank to comprise round three. He also teased a snippet, which can be heard below.
Based on the teaser, the track sounds as raunchy, if not more so than the original Vinylz and Boi-1da-produced sex anthem. The December project, named after Brown’s daughter, entered the Billboard 200 at No. 3 with 184,000 units sold.
While we await the remixes, Breezy can be heard as a featured guest on French Montana’s “Wave Gods Intro,” Zendaya’s “Something New,” and Rockie Fresh’s “Call Me (When It’s Over).”
He also found time to surprise fans at a G-Eazy concert and shoot the “Drifting” video with the Bay Area rapper. And it looks like his itinerary won’t ease up. He’s also scheduled spot dates in March at Drai’s Beach Club in Las Vegas.
