There’s no love lost between The Game and 50 Cent. The longtime rivals are at odds yet again, and this time, the bad blood stems from Game’s photo with Lloyd Banks.
On Wednesday (Feb. 17), the Compton rapper posted an Instagram pic of himself alongside his former G-Unit labelmate in Dubai with the caption “Still.” However, 50 didn’t seem to appreciate this reunion. So, today, he reposted the picture with a very different description.
“What do you see when you look at this picture?” he wrote. “I see confusion,I’m not sure if it’s just me, I’m a Cancer shit don’t get old with me. I never ask for trouble but I really don’t have a problem with it I’m different. The question isn’t how I feel about it, but how dose (Lodi Mac) feel about it? Some shit is just better off left alone.”
G-Unit affiliate Lowell “Lodi Mack” Fletcher was shot and killed in 2009. Game’s former manager James “Jimmy Henchman” Rosemond was later sentenced to life in prison for conspiring with other men to kill Fletcher. At the time, Rosemond was already serving a life sentence for running a lucrative drug ring.
Game, who released his album The Documentary 2 in October, has beefed with G-Unit since he left the crew in 2005.
Lloyd Banks has had a different relationship with 50, who’s acted as his mentor. After a long hiatus, G-Unit reunited without Game by adding a new member, Kidd Kidd, in 2014. They released The Beauty of Independence that year and another EP, The Beast Is G-Unit, in 2015. Last year, Fif told Hot 97 that Banks wanted his “independence” from the crew and now, it’s unclear whether their long-awaited reunion album will be released.
