Listen to Nelly's Country Cover of Thomas Rhett's 'Die a Happy Man'

  /  02.05.2016

Nelly goes country yet again. The St. Louis rapper’s latest single covers and remixes Thomas Rhett’s romantic 2015 hit “Die a Happy Man.”

Over a “bottle of wine,” Nelly ponders love on hip-hop-inspired production that samples Rhett’s original rendition. “If all I’ve got is your hand in my hand,” Nelly sings on the V-Day-ready cut. “Baby, I can die a happy man.”

“Pimp Juice’s” remix arrives as Rhett’s version tops the Hot Country Songs chart for the 12th time, according to Billboard.

Nelly’s country love is no surprise. In 2004, the St. Lunatic collaborated with Tim McGraw on “Over and Over,” which reached No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100. More recently, Nelly Mo teamed up with Florida Georgia Line for 2013’s “Cruise” remix.

Listen to Nelly put his spin on “Die a Happy Man.”
