Jidenna Drops 3 New Songs

  /  12.21.2015

Jidenna is in the giving spirit. After releasing a video for “Long Live the Chief” earlier this month, the “Classic Man” gifts his Jenerals with three new songs for the holidays including “Extraordinaire,” “Knickers,” and “Chief.”

“We had a hell of a year. You each deserve to eat, drink, and be swanky during the holy days,” said Jidenna. “As you do, please indulge in a few appetizers. The main course will be served in 2016.”

When asked about the inspiration behind “Knickers,” the dapper rapper revealed that he’s a big fan of the undergarment. “I’m a slim guy. Slim guys, we don’t really like shorts too much,” he told Rap-Up TV. “So knickers fits us right. It makes our hamstring look a little bit bigger.”

All three songs can be purchased on iTunes or streamed below.

Jidenna, whose hit “Classic Man” is nominated for Best Rap/Sung Collaboration at the Grammys, is working on his debut album for release in early 2016.

“You can expect swank. You can expect an album that feels like the adventures of classic man. What does a classic man do when he’s in his hotel? What does he do when he explores South Central L.A. all the way to Dubai?” he said. “You can expect the best album in 2016, hands down, feet down.”
