New Music: Hit-Boy feat. James Fauntleroy - 'That's What I Get'

Hit-Boy strikes back against all the girls who have done him wrong on his latest single, “That’s What I Get.” The ’90s-inspired jam features James Fauntleroy, who croons over a sample of Shanice’s “I Love Your Smile.”

The HS87 rapper recounts all the ways that love has gotten him in trouble—everytime he thinks he’s dating an innocent stay-at-home college girl, his dreams are shattered when he sees her in the VIP section of the club or courtside at a basketball game.

“That’s what I get for falling in love with bad bitches,” he raps, noting that he’s talking about the kind of women prone to “watching ‘Love & Hip-Hop.'” And thus the battle of the sexes rages on.
