Public opinion may say Meek Mill took a loss to Drake, but at least one person disagrees—Rick Ross. The MMG mogul is standing behind his protégé and is confident that his new music will make everyone forget about the past.

While promoting his album Black Market, Ross stopped by Power 105 for an interview with Angie Martinez this week, where he discussed the outcome of Meek and Drake’s highly-publicized battle. “Meek not in trouble at all,” proclaimed Rozay.

Ross said Meek’s upcoming mixtape Dreamchasers 4 will silence the haters. “I got like six new songs in my phone now,” he said. “Once the new music come out, everybody that rocked with you come back around.”

“Are they incredible?” asked Angie, referring to Meek’s new material. “Phenomenal,” he responded.

The feud has inspired Meek to go in the studio and come back harder. “That’s what this brings out of you. When you do consider somebody turning they back, that’s what this do. That’s what motivated me.”

He compared Meek’s situation to his own beef with 50 Cent. “Perception isn’t always what it is. I was perceived once to be losing to an artist in a battle… Tripled my worth in less than 12 months.”

According to Rozay, Meek will rise again. “Of course, it’s not even a question.”

“We’ve been in this environment for many, many, many years and this is one of the least tense situations. It’s no phone calls being made about this.”

D4 doesn’t have a release date, but Meek previewed some new material on Instagram last month.

Meek’s girlfriend Nicki Minaj also weighed in on the beef for the first time in an interview with The New York Times. “They’re men, grown-ass men. It’s between them,” she said, adding, “I hate it. It doesn’t make me feel good. You don’t ever want to choose sides between people you love. It’s ridiculous. I just want it to be over.”
