Jennifer Lopez has done it all throughout her long career, except for one thing—host an awards show. That will change next month, when the superstar hosts the 2015 American Music Awards.
The 46-year-old will not only take over hosting duties from last year’s host Pitbull, she will give viewers a taste of her upcoming Las Vegas residency with a thrilling performance.
“From my first @TheAMAs nomination 15 years ago to HOSTING the 2015 #AMAs! It’s going down 11/22 on ABC!!” she tweeted.
Her residency at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino kicks off Jan. 20. “I think I’ve been preparing for this my whole life,” she told ET. “I’m excited about going to Vegas [and] doing the kind of quintessential show that I’ve always had in my mind.”
The 2015 AMAs air live on ABC from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on Nov. 22. Joe Jonas and Charlie Puth will announce the nominees on Oct. 13.
